Coronet Bay

cbbeach In Champs Ellysee Esplanade overlooking the bay, is our special beach hidewaway that you may like to stay. 45 mins drive from our homestay and only 15 mins to popular Phillip Island. Sri Aman, which my beloved mom aptly named, is a haven our family have been retreating to for the last 13 years. The drive to Coronet Bay is very easy, much to see countryside and places of attractions along the way including Mauru Park, Caldermeade Farm and little country towns. It’s not something you want to miss ….fascinating breathtaking sights of the Bass Coast

This beach house has 2 separate self contained units. Upstairs has 4 bedrooms, new kitchen & bathroom and the ground floor unit with 3 bedrooms all newly renovated including a spa bath. It’s located only a stone throw away from the General Store and few steps to a beautiful sandy beach and playground. The store has everything you will possibly need including take aways and a small gas station. Further down the road is La Provincia, an Italian providore shop, on a 10 ha farm, a restaurant with amazing pasta dura, sauces, cheeses, scrumptious cakes, ciabatta, sourdough and pesto all homemade by our friend Gina Riccardi and family. Absolutely pure Italiano using recipes handed down by her ancestors from Firenze. A must buy- La Provincia estate olive oil pressed by their own hands.

Watch glorious sunsets and take walks by the beach which is mostly secluded except school holidays. Bushwalk along the bay and enjoy the interesting fauna and trees. The house is a great romantic retreat and if you cant leave the kids behind they would have a fun time picking shells and swimming in the only safety beach in the Bass district. A short drive to Phillip Island, Penquin Parade, Seal Colonies and surf beaches with lots more to see all along the Bass Hwy. So staying in Sri Aman, Coronet Bay to unwind and perhaps continue to explore the rest of the Bass Coast the next day is a great option to driving back to Melbourne.

Minimum of 2 nights. Priced per night per unit -$220 for 2 people and $38 for each extra Ground floor unit- 3 bedrooms. Upper floor 4 bedrooms. Aslo includes one lunch picnic hamper to take with you in case you don’t want to eat out.

“To find the universal elements enough; to find the air and the water exhilarating; to be refreshed by a morning walk or an evening saunter; to be thrilled by the stars at night; to be elated over a bird’s nest or a wildflower in spring – these are some of the rewards of the simple life. ” ~John Burroughs

“I think that I shall never see a poem lovely as a tree. A tree whose hungry mouth is pressed against the earth’s sweet flowing breast; A tree that looks at God all day, And lifts her leafy arms to pray; A tree that may in Summer wear a nest of robins in her hair; Upon whose bosom snow has lain; Who intimately lives with rain. Poems are made by fools like me, But only God can make a tree.” ~ Joyce Kilmer
